Sometimes when we make New Year’s Resolutions, we lose our inspiration too easily and give up before we’re even out of January. It’s true, we’ve all done it at one point or another. The truth is: it’s not that we’re not disciplined or don’t have the will power to succeed, it’s that we’ve lost the original inspiration to create change in our lives for the better. Well, CMFTO is here to help. How? By taking you on a walk through your closet!
What happens when we actually look at our closets? Sometimes we feel grateful, excited or happy, but often times we feel overwhelmed. Right? It doesn’t have to be that way. We challenge you to look at your closet in a new way – with new perspective – and allow it to inspire you to make changes in your life. Here’s how:
Go through your closet and find those clothes that are just a wee bit too big and…. donate them! If you don’t have them to wear, you won’t “allow” yourself the leeway to wear them. Furthermore, if you find that perfect dress (skirt, pant or sweater) that has been tucked away because it’s a hair too tight (or let’s admit it, a couple sizes too small), pull it out, dust it off, and hang it where you can see it. Let it inspire you to go for that 20 minute walk, or to make a healthier choice at lunch. Let your clothes guide you to your inspiration!
What you may not have realized is that in this preliminary walk-through of your closet, we’ve just addressed: weight loss, exercise and giving – some of the top New Year’s Resolutions we make. If that’s not inspiring, we don’t know what is!
