Rehab Results: It’s In The Details

Thus far, we’ve shared some of the bigger results from our recent project rehabbing a townhome from top to bottom. The last two weeks we’ve shown you the kitchen and the master bath – two of the most highly prioritized areas in any home renovation. But what about the lesser-known details that make a house a home?

This week we are visiting one of our favorite topics: repurposing. CMFTO™ helped our client rightsize from a much larger home to his new townhome, by using his existing furniture in the design plan. As you may know, we believe in repurposing whenever possible. In this case, the client’s furniture of 20 years found new life by being incorporated into his new home, after being refreshed by our design team.

These three pieces were rebuilt and reupholstered. A fabric selected from Kravet in the Merchandise Mart was used for the sofa, and a newly released fabric from Barbara Barry was used for the two chairs, which had previously lived in the client’s guest house. All three items are now a focal point of the townhome’s living room.

At CMFTO™ no project is too big, or too small. We pride ourselves on our level of attention to detail – including repurposing well-loved furniture. Whether it’s finding a new placement in their own home or helping a client sell or donate their belongings, the work is in the details. This is why we believe in “staging to live” while living in your home. And we’re here to help make that possible.

With his newly repurposed furniture, our client feels right at home.

All my best,
Claudia
