An Important Message to Repeat

Back in September we wrote a newsletter on “Transitioning During Crisis.” We received such an overwhelming response that we wanted to revisit the topic and share it again. This is such important information that it simply can’t be said enough. Especially with the holidays approaching as we spend time with our relatives near and far, it’s good to have resources and understanding at the ready.

Transitioning During Crisis

One of our services that tugs the most at my heart is assisting families who are in crisis. This happens most often when a parent or relative has passed away, or is undergoing major health challenges and has to move into a different housing solution. It also often happens that the family members are no longer in the area and/or don’t have the luxury of taking extended leave to sort out what needs to be done with the house and all its belongings, which is when we step in to help.

Regardless of the reason for the change, the emotional toll it can take is vast. Sometimes the home needs to be completely cleared out. Sometimes it needs to be tidied up to prepare for sale. Other times it simply needs to be sorted through so that cherished pieces can be transferred to the new living situation or family members.

Time is of the essence, and it can feel more than a bit overwhelming. Whatever the scenario, CMFTO and our vetted resources can take care of any need that may arise.

We recently have been referred to three such clients who were unsure of where to begin as they navigated the emotional waters of family change.

We love what we do and are grateful to be able to assist others as they transition through the changes in their lives, as we strive to make it just a little bit easier.

As I’ve mentioned, this is an important topic to address and have a list of resources at the ready. At CMFTO, we consider it a privilege to assist families during these challenging times, and appreciate the sensitivity and urgency they often require.

All my best,
Claudia
