CMFTO’s Response to COVID-19

Tags:

Dear Clients, Colleagues, and Friends,

Your safety, and the safety of our Associates, is important to us. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking every precaution available to help “flatten the curve” and keep each other healthy.  We will, of course, be available for phone consultations, but at this time, we will no longer be working on site for any projects.

We hope this extreme situation will pass soon, especially as more and more people, cities, and states heed the warning and practice social distancing. Here are a few tips we have gleaned along the way, that may be helpful to you, as well:

  • Wash your hands more often than you think you should, for at least 20 seconds. People suggest singing ‘Happy Birthday’ twice through to meet the required amount of time.
  • If you feel you have symptoms, a little known tip is to sterilize your toothbrush. This helps prevent the continued spread of germs and/or reinfection.
  • If you have been out in public, consider taking a shower upon your return, and putting your clothes directly into the wash. Though the virus requires a host to survive, estimates have stated that it can survive on surfaces – including clothing – for up to 24 hours.
  • Remember to breathe. One of our Associates has recommended stepping outside (if you can be alone), and taking deep breaths for 5 minutes, several times a day. This expands your lung capacity (most of us are shallow breathers), and helps with ‘cabin fever’ and fatigue.

We are thinking of you and hope you’re all staying safe. Be well.

All my best,
Claudia
