When a Move is Unexpected and Sudden

Tags: , ,

Moving is often one of the most planned out events in our lives. A typical move is started about 2-3 months prior to the actual event, as we begin thinking about what needs to happen, by whom, and when.

But what happens when a move is unexpected and sudden?

Often, this occurs as a result of a crisis – perhaps there has been an accident or a health event that prevents someone from returning to their home. This is especially the case when an individual needs to go from 2-story living to single-story living, and usually it’s the loved ones that need to coordinate the unexpected transition, whether they are based locally or not.

Especially with regard to senior transitions, it pays to have the assistance of a Senior Move Manager when an unexpected move suddenly becomes a reality. Why? Because they know all the right questions to ask to make the change as seamless and comfortable as possible for everyone involved.

Here at CMFTO™ we have recognized the importance of developing a senior move skill set that allows us to help our clients undergoing sudden changes in their residence. As such, we are proud to be a member of the North American Senior Move Managers (NASMM), which also serves as an invaluable resource for our clients.

Regardless of where your loved one is located, we can help – either by assisting you directly, or by providing referrals from the comprehensive list of NASMM members all over the country.

Sudden and unexpected moves don’t have to add to the challenges typically present during a crisis. Using a Senior Move Manager (such as CMFTO™) makes everything just a little easier.

All my best,
Claudia
